Process
The Testing Process
1
Visual check and moisture readings.
I look for water stains, leaks, and humidity problems first.
2
Sampling.
I take an outdoor control sample so your indoor results have something to compare against, then indoor air samples. Tape lifts and swabs are used on visible growth.
3
Lab analysis.
Samples go to the lab for spore counts and mold types.
4
Your results.
You get the lab report and my plain-English explanation of what it means.
Methods
Air Samples vs. Tape and Swab Tests
Air samples measure what’s floating in the air you breathe. Tape lifts and swabs test a specific spot, like a stain or fuzzy growth, to identify what it is. Many homes need both.
